This isn’t something new to boast about. Almost every superstar in their earlier days has shared screen spaces together. Possibly, these films perpetually remain under spotlights for the substantial tales and powerful characterizations of those actors.Be it Hindi Film Industry’s ‘Sholay’ (Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra) and Tamil film industry’s ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ (Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan). Off the late, the following cohorts followed by the same trend in tinsel town.‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay and stylish icon Ajith Kumar were offered to perform lead roles in Manirathnam’s production ‘Nerukku Naer’ directed by Vasanth. At the last moment, Surya replaced Ajith Kumar thereby making his onscreen debut. The same duo combo came back with a big gold strike in family entertainer ‘Friends’.Similarly, Amitabh Bachchan’s home production ‘Ullasam’ featured Ajith Kumar and Vikram in lead role. Years later, director Bala roped in Vikram and Surya together in his magnum opus ‘Pithamagan’. And now, we’ve the same moviemaker signing Aarya and Vishal in his upcoming film ‘Avan Ivan’. Of course, Aarya has been favoring multi-starrer projects as most of his films have been off that sort. Be his debut film ‘Ullam Ketkume’ with Shaam or the following film ‘Pattiyal’ with Bharath: he carved a niche for himself with his role in spite of being a part of double-hero subjects.Actor Madhavan strongly believes in the mantra of success with multi-starrer films. Indeed, this has paved him a big ticket in Bollywood. It has been completely illustrious with his ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Teen Patti’, in which he shares screen space with Ben Kingsley and Amitabh Bachchan.Let’s hope the young stars keep striving on similar motifs of promoting double or multi-starrer projects, which would manifestly result in big changeover from existing patterns of films.

She is from Andhra Pradesh. And she established herself as an actress in Tamil Nadu. Now, it is destination Karnataka for Sunaina, who has bagged a plum offer in Kannada, popularly known as Sandalwood.
The ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’ girl will be seen opposite ‘Golden Star’ Ganesh in a yet-to-be titled Kananda film which will go on floors soon. “I found my role interesting and accepted the offer without any hesitation,” she says.
In the meantime, Sunaina is eagerly expecting the release of her Tamil film ‘Yadhumagi’ which will hit screens in a week’s time. “I play Annam, an innocent village girl, who falls for a city boy (played by debutant Sachin). The story speaks a lot about love in a gripping way,” she says.
On her forthcoming projects, Sunaina says, “I am currently acting in three films- ‘Thiruthani’ with Bharath, ‘Kadhirvel’ with Ajmal and a movie by ‘Pasanga’ fame Pandiraj which has Chief Minister M Karunanidhi’s grandson Arulnidhi in the lead.”

Santhanu’s next

‘Sakkarakatti’ sweet boy Santhanu Bagiyaraj is gearing up for his next project. IndiaGlitz digs out more:
Santhanu who is busy currently shooting ‘Aayiram Vilakku’ seems to have signed a movie with director K S Adhiyaman, who’s made movies like ‘Thoondil’ and ‘Swarnamukhi’.
After Thoondil’s mild response in the box office, K S Adhiyaman has worked on a youthful subject this time. From our sleuths we discover the essence of the movie- the hero woos a Rajasthani Girl and marries her. He goes to Rajasthan and faces a culture shock there. How he manages and mingles with the crowd forms the crux of the story.
K S Adhiyaman has directed a lot of movies in Bollywood. He would hope to make a mark in Kollywood now. IndiaGlitz wishes him all the best.

‘Azhagana Ponnuthan’ completely belongs to hottie Namitha as she seems to have been offered a substantively stronger role. It’s not just about skin shows and oomph factors, but the gorgeous actresses have a vital role to take on with. But now we hear that the film is completely inspired from yesteryear Malayalam classic – ‘Rathinirvedham’. This was directed by Bharathan with Padmarajan penning the script and featured Jayabharathi-Krishnacharan in lead roles.Director Thiru seems to have partially made some changes to the script and presented it in a completely new-fangled manner. But again, some sources reveal that unorthodox filmmaker Bharathan himself was inspired by Hollywood classic – ‘Summer of 42’. In all equivalence, the film’s teaser faintly resembles Giuseppe Tornatore’s ‘Malena’ that happens to be a mind-boggling classic in the history of world cinema…

Trisha’s wait might have ended yesterday when ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ saw the light of the day. However, the actress says she is in no hurry to sign new projects and is choosy before signing on the dotted line.
"I would like to be very careful as my career is at an important phase now. I want to look at good scripts and concentrate only on a few films at a time. Number game is no more an issue," she says.
Saying there is space for every star based on their hard work and talent, Trisha says anyone aspiring to make it big in films can find their own niche in today's industry scenario, where talent is given utmost importance.
On 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya', she says, "The expectations made me nervous. However, I am happy about the feedback the film is getting now. Because, the script is all about romance with a refreshing treatment. It's a role I enjoyed to the full."

These days, actor Vijay has been constantly signing so many projects at a rapid rate. Over the past couple of months, the actor has inked deals with Aascar Ravichandran, director Siddique (Remake of Bodyguard) and so on.Now, we hear that Gemini Films Circuit has approached actor Vijay for the film to be directed by Kumaravelan, son of ace filmmaker Rangarajan.Kumaravelan made his debut directorial with ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ – a remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Classmates’ that won laurels for him.

Problems created by lovers among themselves are one thing while problems created by others to these lovers are another thing. But what happens if both these takes place in a romance. Simbhu frequently asks,” Why should I love Jessie when there are so many other girls”. This question may be asked by many youngsters or their friends in real life. The amazing romance, confusions and the pain has been narrated in a beautiful way.
Simbhu dons the role of Karthik. He who completes engineering aspires to become an assistant film director. Simbhu goes as a tenant to a house whose owner is the father of the Malayalee girl Jessie. Trisha who dons the role of Jessie works in Infosys. Karthik seeing Jessie loses his heart to her. At one point he decides that his love will not work out and tries to at least try to become a friend of Jessie. This friendship ultimately turns out to be love. But Jessie gets scared and confused about her parents. She confuses Karthik also and finally deiced to settle with the person arranged by her family. Whether Karthi and Jessie reunite is the rest of the story to be seen on the silver screen.
Simbhu as Karthik is not a boy who can show tricks by hand. His maturity can be well seen in this film. Let it be when he falls in instant love with Jessie or the way he wanders to make his love a success are really captivating. In a scene he follows Jessie to KFC. When he comes near Jessie, she asks whether he was following her. He in turn says that she is following him. Jessie says her office is here. He in turn says that KFC is also here. He watches Jessie walking. When the salesman asks for order, Simbhu asks the bearer not to disturb him because he wants to watch her until he goes. He is almost the mouth piece of today youngsters. His voice modulation is really superb. He captivates the hearts of the audience when he speaks to Jessie about her saying that there is a girl in his heart. This film has taken Simbhu to another phase in his career.
Trisha is cute and exceptionally captured the hearts of the audience. Her mischievous look and her body language are really incredible. In some of the sequences it can visibly seen that there were stiff competition where Simbhu and Trisha are in dialogues in the climax sequences. The dialogues in the film are very realistic and Gowtham has given Simbhu a good scope to bring out his hidden acting talents.
There is no need to speak much about A R Rahman’s music. The songs of this film have already become popular. The lead guitar right from the beginning journeys throughout the film with us. The songs Omana Penne and Hosanna are fantastic. Rahman has once again ruled his dynasty with elegance. It definitely makes one to hum the songs while coming out of the theatres.
There are no words to describe the camera work of Manoj. He had earlier shown his coolness in the film Eeram. He had excelled in this film.
On the whole Gowtham Vasudev Menon has given a cute and sweet musical romantic film

Kollywood’s successful female lyricist,Thamarai is going on heights. The successful lady who is well known with a song ‘Veseegara’ from Gautham Menon’s‘Minnale’ is creating sensational songs for many films.

Recently, Thamarai has been called on by the ace director Mani Ratnam for writing the dialogues for his next movie after Raavan.
The director says that after Raavan his next film will also be a bilingual movie in Tamil and Hindi. For Hindi version Imran Khan of ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ fame will play the lead role while Silambarasan will play the lead in Tamil.
He also says that as his upcoming movie is about the second love of woman, he feels it would be better if a lady lyricist writes the dialogues. So, he has met Thamarai to discuss on this.

The popular star Silambarasan is eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ that is scheduled to hit the theatres today. The movie is going to be very special to Simbhu as everyone will see different hero in him when compared to his earlier roles.
Speaking to the media he says that all his fans have huge expectations on him and his film ‘VTV’, as he worked with mega combo pack Gautham Menon andRahman.Denying the rumors of his relationship and romance with Trisha, he says that there is no truth in these rumors. They both were good friends and by the time being he is in love with only movies and not with any girl.
When he was asked about the reason to go out of ‘Ko’ project Simbhu remained silent and said that it’s all of difference in opinions.

The raising star Bharath is unable to join the list of biggies in the film industry though he is having handful of projects and hit films.
For this, the hero says that not acting in any of the movie directed by Top directors in the industry might be the reason for that. He also says that he is yet to give a huge blockbuster and really working hard for it.
On the other hand he met some of the ace directors in Tamil industry and waiting for the right chance to hit the screens. Stating about his co-actors he says “We care for each other and work for mutual development. At the same time, there is a competition between us to deliver hits.”
Let’s hope Bharath will reach the heights with his next film!

Dhanush who is busy acting in the film Mappillai gave a mini interview to the media:
What happened to Malai Nerathu Mayakkam?
We started this film as a comedy film. The shooting of the film took place for 10 days. But due to some reasons this film was postponed. Now we are planning to change the story a little bit.

It seems you are not working for your dad?
My brother and I are in this field only because of my father only. Our father has given us a lot of freedom. After completing my present commitments I will act in my father’s film either this year or next year.
It seems Trisha has refused to act with you?
When she was acting with me in Aadukalam, she got the opportunity to act in a Hindi film. Because of this she quit this film. We also understood her plight and allowed her to go.
About director Mithran Jawahar?
He gave a hit film Yaaradi Nee Mohini for our production house. It is very easy to work with him. Because of this we joined once again in the film Kutty. We are also once again joining in our next film.
It seems there is a good reception for you in Telugu film industry?
It is not so. Audiences there know very little about me. They know me because some of my Tamil films are being dubbed in Telugu. There is no good market for me there.
Will you continue to sing?
My wife and I never expected that the song we sung for Aayirathil Oruvan would be such a hit. My brother made me to sing because he wanted a drunkard voice who would sing badly. I sang this song without any expectations. I am not interested in singing. Because of this I will not risk singing in my films.
Will you act with Simbhu?
The story, producer and director should be there as expected if I am to act with Simbhu. It is a rare thing for such a thing to happen. If at all happens I am ready to act with Simbhu.

Two schedules are already over and yet there wasn’t any news about the film ’s progress in shooting. Actor Aadhi had gained more offers in town and has almost completed filming couple of projects simultaneously. Months back, the actor had started ‘Ayyanar’ – a film based on mother-son sentiment. This time, he’s into the emotional story of father-son relationship with ‘Kumbamela’.

The film is directed by Vijay Prakash and is produced by Michael Rayappan (early produced Sasikumar’s ‘Nadodigal’). Actress Poorna stars opposite Aadhi in female lead as a college student while yesteryear actors Ravichandran and K.R. Vijaya in prominent roles.

‘Panneer Pushpangal’ fame Suresh dons a vital role and assure that it would be far powerful than his role in ‘ASAL’.

According to the sources, the film was earlier titled as ‘Thiruvizha’ and due to some issues it was rechristened as ‘Kumbamela’. But director Vijaya Prakash states that even ‘Kumbamela’ is a tentative title and they may change the title if situation arises.

"I always choose to do films that has good storyline. 'Thambi Vettothi Sundaram' (TVS) is one such movie that is based on a real life incident", says Karan.

Produced by J Senthilkumar and directed by Vadivudayan, 'TVS' features Anjali opposite Karan. Saravanan plays a meaty role in the movie which also has ‘Ganja’ Karuppu, Dhanushya and 'Kadhal' Dhandapani in the cast.

Impressed with the story, Karan, says, "ever since I chose to do hero roles, fortunately I always get good scripts. 'Thambi Vettothi Sundaram' is an engrossing and emotional tale of a rural youth".

On his part, the director says, "I was inspired by some men in my village and their valour. Incidents in their lives made me to pen the script. Once I completed it, I felt Karan was probably the only actor appropriate to play the lead role".

The young hero Dhanush and glamorous heroine Hansika Motwani starrer upcoming flick ‘Maapillai’ is undergoing its shooting in Chennai.
The movie is directed by Suraj and being made by Sun Pictures. The bollywood top actress Manisha Koirala is playing the role of Dhanush’s mother-in-law in the film. Recently Manisha also joins the film unit in Chennai for shooting.
Maapillai is a remake of Rajinikanth’s1989 film having the same title. The story revolves around a conflict between a proud mother-in-law who always wants to be on heights beating her son-in-law.
Previously, the film unit had tried to have Sridevi, Tabu or Jayaprada to play the role. But Manisha grabbed the chance after her eight years comeback in Tamil films.

After shifting base to Mumbai, moving out of her Chennai house, Shruti is increasingly seen on the Page 3 events of Bollywood. She was recently spotted attending the 55th Filmfare kick off pre-party held at hotel JW Marriott in Mumbai. The event was followed by a Manish Malhotra fashion show.

The 55th Filmfare awards function is scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Other celebrities who attended the event include Genilia, Asin, Sridevi, Dia Mirza and Madhavan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been trying to become a mother for some time now. The fact that she has so far not gotten pregnant is actually a cause for concern for the entire Bachchan parivar.

  • Aishwarya-Rai

According to a close family friend, though outwardly the family may have taken the when-it-happens-it-will-happen stand, but within, there’s a very ardent desire to have an heir for the family as soon as possible.

Mr Bachchan is especially sold on a grandson, but when asked about it he says, as usual, “When it happens, it will happen.”

But the question that is really bothers the family and their close friends is - when? After all, it’s no secret that Aishwarya is 37, and she isn’t getting any younger.

But it now comes to light that the reason for her inability to bear a child at the moment is because she has been suffering from stomach tuberculosis for a while. Says a source, “The medication Aishwarya is taking for her stomach ailment is hampering her from getting pregnant. Until the tuberculosis is fully cured, she is unlikely to risk a pregnancy.”

On his blog, an anguished Amitabh Bachchan has written about ‘the rich man’s TB’, dispelling the myth that the disease only afflicts the less privileged. Now that the supposed reason for the delay in her pregnancy is clearer, we can only hope and pray that the Bachchan bahu speedily recovers from the ailment and fulfills her ardent desire to become a mother.

  • She is a friend in need and is a good listener who lends him constant support. Bipasha Basu is just a call away whenever Ranbir Kapoor needs to bare his heart.

    ranbir kapoor,bipasha basu

But their friendship is not new; it started during the days of Bachna Ae Haseeno and has grown stronger ever since. A source tells a daily that whenever Ranbir wants to unwind or is looking for a quiet dine-out with a friend, he just calls up Bipasha.

The sexy lady of Bollywood is also a good friend of Ajay Devgan and together they get along like a house on fire. So what makes Bips so special as a friend, especially for male actors? Is it something that John Abraham needs to worry about?

Certainly not! John knows about it and has no problems, claim sources. Bips likes Ranbir and thinks he will be ‘No. 1’ someday.

Good friends never let you down!

  • Endhiran Still
    Endhiran Still
Super Star Rajinikanth told that his “Endhiran” film will hit the theatres only in July. He said that the shooting for the movie is completed. Now the post production work is going on well. This film is Director Shankar’s dream project and he is doing lot of research work for the film.

This movie “Endhiran” is one of the big budget movie, Director Shankar is putting all his efforts for the film. Now Sun Pictures are the producers for this film. Former Miss World Aishwarya Bachan is doing the heroine role for the first time with Superstar. She acted in the Director Sharkar’s film earlier.

    Surya and Jyothika
Surya’s debut Hindi film is “Raktha Charithra” which is going to be directed by Ram Gopal Varma. In a recent interview Surya said that after hearing the story he agreed to act in the film. He said that he will introduce in the first part of film - only in the climax and in the second part he will act in the full film. The story of the film is based on life of Parritala Ravi and Madelachervu Suri, politicians of Andhra. The famous actor Vivek Oberoi will act as Parritala Ravi and Surya is going to do the role of Madelachervu Suri.

After getting National award for her acting talents, “Priyamani” got the main role in the film “Raavan” in Mani Ratnam’s direction. Now she got the offer to act as heroine in the film “Raktha Charithra” also.

Kollywood aunties reduce their dresses now

It’s obvious now. The yesteryear actresses and existing missies are dying hard to save themselves from getting into the categoryof ‘Aunties’. Actress Kasthoori was well known for her best looks with traditional saris, but has now started appearing in skimpy dresses. It all started from the audiolaunch of ‘Paiyya’ where the actress was present in micro-mini short red gown that was so awkward.
Now, it’s the turn of actress Padmapriya appearing in similar dresses for the sake of preventing heraged looks. Padmapriya happens to be an actress with matured looks and it’s somewhat brilliantly depicting her to perform catchy roles. But now, she has started appearing in certain costumes that doesn’t boast of glamour, but merely vulgarity.
Says Padmapriya: ‘I usually wear such costumes as it enhances my style and maybe audiences would haven’t noticed it as they have been witnessing my homely based looks on the screens…’

Udhayathara who is from Malayalam film industry made her debut in Tamil film Kannum Kannum and she continued to act Thee Nagar and Malayan. Currently she is acting in three films. Recently she gave an interview to the media:
There is news that you are going to get married?
Not for time being. Though I have reached the age of marriage, I have not crossed it. I have not achieved my goal in cinema. After achieving my goal or if my parents force me I will get married.
You are also studying in between acting?
I don’t know about Tamil Nadu. But in Kerala if a girl is getting married, they will not ask what work you are doing or how much you are earning. They will see about our educational qualifications. That is why we should study. Education is important for our life.
There is news that you are doing commercial sex worker role in Vilai and doing a kissing scene in Bayam Ariyaan?
Both are false news. In Vilai I am donning the role of a Sri Lankan girl kidnapped by a gang who kidnaps girls. Kissing scenes will there be for a second in the film Bayam Ariyaan. This photo was published which created sensation. Apart from this I have not acted glamorously or vulgarly. I am donning the role of a doctor in the film Kulasekaranum Coolipadaiyum.
Why this gap in Tamil films?
This gap because I was acting continuously in Kannada films. I have not acted in Malayalam films because heroes are less and heroines are more there. I don’t want to compete there’

Actress Sreedevika’s marriage is to take place on 27th March. She was introduced in the Tamil film Ramakrishna directed by Agathiyan. After this she continued to act in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films.

After a long gap she paired with Pa Vijay in the film Gnabagangal. Last year she was engaged to a pilot officer Rohit. This marriage is an arranged one with the approval of both the parents. Now the marriage is to take place on March 27th at Prasanna Lakshmi Kalayanamandapam, Mercy College Road at Palakkad.
Friends, relatives and members of the film fraternity will attend this marriage. Sreedevika while speaking about the marriage said,” Since there is only one moth left for the marriage, we have starting giving invitation from now itself. I will act after my marriage if I get good roles. Rohith has permitted for this.’

The premiere of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa was held at the Sathyam Cinemas on February 25th, 2010. The premiere was a very private affair and only close associates of the film crew were allowed in. In fact, it was off limits even for the media. There are reports that Sun TV has exclusive over the VTV premiere and it would be telecast in that channel.

Those present at the event were Gautham Menon, Suriya, Jyothika, Trisha, Silambarasan, Udayanidhi Stalin, Krithika Stalin, Parthiban, Ramya Krishnan and others.

Soon after the release of Rajnikanth starrer ‘Endhiran’, director Shankar seems to have planned about working with actor Siddarth for a breezy romantic entertainer.

Earlier, the duo had come together for ‘Boys’, which indeed marked the debut of Siddarth in tinsel town.

But later, the actor had never any big offers in Kollywood and somehow made it bigger in Telugu film industry.Shankar is busy now working day and night calling the shots of ‘Endhiran’. Since, Sun Pictures have insisted Shankar to complete the project shortly; the entire crew is running towards hectic schedules.
Meanwhile, Shankar is simultaneously focusing on the release of his upcoming production ‘Rettai Suzhi’ now renamed as ‘Imayum Sigaramum’ and another film ‘Anantha Purathu Veedu’ that is still under production.
‘Imayum Sigaramum’ was completed nearly before couple of months and has been maintained in a security bank so as to avoid piracies. It will hit screens for summer vacation so as to attract the family audiences and children.

The audio release function of the film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa held in London and also in Chennai. The sales of the audio C.Ds is very high. The music by Oscar and Grammy award winner A.R. Rahman is superb. The movie’s director is Gautham Menon and producer is Udayanidhi Stalin.

Tamil film industry is known for giving aid even for the most desolated entities. Of course, most of the actresses, who couldn’t make it more than a film in Bollywood, were found to be lucky stars in Kollywood.
Say for instance, actresses Simran and Jyothika have been the happening illustrative celebrities.
Now the same scenario seems to have been occurring with actress Asin. The actress is disappointed as producers of Bollywood have completely due to flop show with ‘London Dreams’.
Though many Kollywood filmmakers have been approaching her, the actress and her manager have been behaving as if she’s flooded with Hindi offers.
It seems that she has got 4 big offers from Tamil including Gowtham Menon, Vijay, Silambarasan and top-charting filmmaker with anonymity. But she has put every offer on hold and will decide only after she gets to know about the status of her Hindi projects that are still under pipeline.

    [Sameera-Reddy-hot-pics.jpg]
Bollywood hottie Sameera Reddy is literally on cloud nine here down South with her tantalizing performance as Meghna in Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram and Sarah in Ultimate star Ajith's Aasal.

After winning rave reviews for both these films, Sameera is now busy with her third Tamil film being directed by Gautham Menon yet again. The actress has now almost completed her portions. According to the sources, Sameera dons the challenging role of a sex worker and her overnight encounter with a stranger.

This untitled film is said to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with actress Maheshwari's brother Satish in the lead role. It is rumoured that the director has decided to avoid songs and complete the film in a duration less than 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, marking her debut in Malayalam, Sameera Reddy will soon be seen opposite Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in Oru Naal Varum, scripted by veteran actor-director Sreenivasan and directed by T.K. Rajeev Kumar. She plays the role of Mohanlal's wife in this flick which started rolling on February 14 in Thiruvananthapuram.

    [ajith-kumar-latest-movie.jpg]
This would be a stunning surprise for everybody, especially for the Ajith fans. His abrupt decision of giving up the title ‘Ultimate Star’ and involvement in various departments of production works have been transcending his status to greater heights. Now, here’s yet another surprisal that we hear from the buzzes on air.

It seems that Ajith Kumar will have no heroine in his upcoming film to be directed by Gowtham Menon. Recently, after witnessing the latest makeover of Ajith, everyone has been mentioning that he’ll playing a cop’s role and now no-heroine factor clearly signifies that it’s a taut thriller with shorter duration.

Well, it’s so obvious that Ajith had stepped out of usual traits of performing comedy and romancing with ladyloves. Anyways, it’s not going to make any difference for this actor and his fans as well.

‘I live for Prabhu Deva’ - Nayanthara

    [prabhudeva-nayantara-dance-stills-02.jpg]
It looks like few journalists have been permanently vigilant on Prabhu and Nayan. They’re almost behaving like the Vodapone puppy roaming behind the pair. Here’s news about them reported by such a reporter….

Last Friday Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara had gone to a theatre in Chennai to see the Hindi film My Name is Khan which has Sharukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles. They celebrated the Valentine’s Day in Chennai day before yesterday. There is also news that they will be getting married soon.

Recently while speaking to the media in Kerala, she said,” If I like a person I will do anything for that person. Many are asking me why I have tattooed Prabhu Deva’s name in my hand. I don’t understand what people think. We are living for people who live for us. That is the truth. This will apply for everyone. I am also doing this.

I am not bothered about what others think of me. Many are also asking me about my marriage. I am currently acting with Arya in the Tamil film Boss Engira Bhaskaran. I am also acting in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. I have not thought of marriage for time being.”

    [my-name-is-khan-stills.jpg]

Hindi Cinema has witnessed a bloom of one more golden era at the present age. Gone are those days of B-Town Mumbaikars being interested in romantic entertainers with most of them canned across foreign locales.

But the last few months have been disapproving of such motifs with brilliantly spectacular flicks topping on charts.

Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Paa’, Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ and Shahrukh Khan’s ‘My Name is Khan’ have eclipsed even the biggest Tamil films of this season.

Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Five Point Someone’ was ennobled as best film for it unbelievable record-breaking collection in Chennai alone. The film [^] witnessed house-packed shows consecutively for 25days, which is something unusual here. Similarly, Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Paa’ was very well received amongst Chennaites, since the film had a pleasant surprise for buffs with English subtitles. Appositely, the film attracted larger crowds of non-Hindi speaking cohorts as well.

And now, we have Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan striking off the biggest deal globally with his ‘My Name is Khan’. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan himself in collaboration with Fox Star Studios, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Karan Johar.

Much prior to the film’s release, the entire town was so excited about ‘MNIK’ as it brings back SRK-Kajol 9 long years after the success of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ with Karan Johar. And now, there are more reasons why you should ‘My Name is Khan’. The film partially reminiscences of Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks embarking a heart-touching quest of love and Shah Rukh just sweep us off with his mind-boggling performance.
