dusky beauty Priyamani who entered bollywood with Maniratnam’s ‘Raavan’ will be seen again with RGV’s forthcoming trilingual directorial ‘Raththa Charitram’. She will be playing Surya’s wife in this film.
While sharing her experience working with RGV, she says “I’ve always wanted to work with Ram Gopal Varma. I was in Mumbai when he narrated the script to me, and I just couldn’t say no. And I play Bhavani, who supports Suri when he makes up his mind to kill Ravi.”
The actress adds, “And seems language is no barrier to Priyamani as she is quite comfortable with Hindi. “I must thank my school teachers who taught me Hindi so well.”
However, she is not keen on shifting to Mumbai, particularly after Raavan’s debacle. “I don’t know if I will be doing any more films there.” Priyamanii adds further
All the South Indian actors who enjoyed their image in 1980’s were united in a special get together event held on Sunday (August 29) night in Chennai.The event was organised by Suhasini Maniratnam and hosted by Lissy Priyadarshan.
All together the event was attended by around 29 actors and was called as ‘EVRGREEN 80s’. From the Tamil industry, the actors attended the event were superstar Rajnikanth, Sharat Kumar, Arjun, Mohan, Karthik, Prabhu, Suhasini, Radhika, Poornima, Radha, Kushbu, Ambika and Nadiya. From the Malayalam, Mohan Lal and Shobhan were present while from Kannada industry, Sumalatha and Ambarish attended the event. From the Telugu industry, Chiranjeevi Venkatesh, Bhanuchandar, Naresh, Suresh, Ramya krishnan and Suman were present.
Sources said that it was of a great pleasure to see all the four south industries got together for an evening of friendship, art, music and happiness.

The latest news is that the lead pair along with the team is going to Norway in the first week of September to picturize a song on both of them. The song is going to be a melodious one which is tuned by Harris Jayaraj.
Sources say that it will be the first Tamil song to be shot in Norway. The director Anand who is well known for choosing never seen before locations for his film shooting has selected this beautiful location just outside Oslo.
When she was asked about her three heroes whom she is acting with, the actress says with smile “Ravi is such a wonderful co-artiste and a good friend of mine. There was so much of fun on the ‘Ich’ shooting sets and the experience was unforgettable”.
