The 55th Film Fare awards ceremony was held recently at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai and it turned to be one of the best extravaganzas of this season. Moreover, it’s a night to rejoice for A.R. Rahman as the maestro swept the award ‘Best Music’ for his mind-boggling musical score in ‘Delhi -6’.
In 2009, A.R. Rahman had bagged the same category award for ‘Jodha Akbar’ after striking double-treat at Oscars for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Similarly, even this year he has bagged two Grammy awards for the same song ‘Jai Ho’ followed one more Film Fare.
‘Delhi-6’ has certain songs that will never get erased from your I-pods and players. It has lots of genres – Qawali, Rap, folk, mesmerizing melodies and so on. ‘Masakali’ can be ennobled as the best song of decade for its fantastic composition.
